Week’s events include campus fellowship, pep rally, picnic
LIBERAL, Kan. – Seward County Community College will celebrate its 56th Annual Homecoming beginning Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, welcoming students, alumni and community members from Liberal and surrounding areas for a week of activities and athletic events.
Homecoming events are slated for the entire week and begin Monday with Campus Fellowship at SCCC’s Rapid Fit Wellness Center Showcase Theater in the Shank Humanities Building. A Community pep rally is scheduled for Friday, following the Saints Baseball games against Otero at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
While the college originally planned a bonfire, recent red-flag warnings, fires, and weather conditions prompted a change in plans. Friday’s pep rally will take place in the Greenhouse, with s’mores offered as a sweet replacement instead of a risky bonfire.
Saturday’s events include the President’s Picnic at noon, Saints Baseball against Otero at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., and Saints Basketball versus the Cowley Tigers, with the women’s game at 2 p.m. and the men’s game at 4 p.m.
Saturday’s athletic events will also include special recognition celebrating Saints history and student-athlete achievements. The SCCC Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place during halftime of the women’s basketball game. In addition, sophomore recognition for each Saints athletic team will be held prior to the start of the games.
SCCC’s 2026 Homecoming Royalty will be crowned during halftime of the men’s game.
“SCCC Homecoming is a time to bring together our students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community to celebrate what it means to be a Saint,” said Cody Cole, SCCC Associate VP of Athletics. “We are proud to honor our athletic legacy while recognizing the achievements of our current student-athletes.”
Additional details and updates will be shared through SCCC social media channels and the college website.
