Saints Winter Wonderland: A Holiday Celebration at SCCC

Seward County Community College invites the community to a Saints Winter Wonderland slated for Monday, Dec. 1. The come-and-go event from 6 to 7:30 pm. in the Student Union and Saints Bookstore, offers a festive vibe to start the holiday season right.

“We wanted to offer our community something easy, fun, and exciting as we move from Thanksgiving weekend to the Christmas season,” said SCCC President Brad Bennett. “And we thought, what better way than cookies and hot cocoa?” Along with sweet treats and sale prices in the bookstore, the evening offers a photo opportunity for families.

“We’re setting up a photo station with our mascot, Louie the Saint, who may or may not be wearing a Santa suit,” said Saints Bookstore Director Brandee Good. “The photo opp is free, and the college will post those individual pictures for parents and families to download.”

Director of Student Life and Leadership Wade Lyon may offer children’s activities but the main focus, said Bennett, is “Saints spirit, the joy of a fun new tradition, and of course, the sweet taste of the holidays.”
