The Seward County Community College Foundation typically hosts a luncheon for its Board of Governors, complete with student musicians and an opportunity to see the positive impact donors make on campus. While the pandemic disrupted the tradition for two years in a row, SCCC’s Chief Development Officer and Foundation Executive Director Kyle Woodrow will offer a virtual replacement at noon Wednesday, March 31. The Zoom meeting link is available to any Board of Governors members who contact Woodrow at kyle.woodrow@sccc.edu or via his office phone, 620-417-1131. Following a review of the Foundation’s annual report, the regular monthly meeting of the Foundation Board will take place.
Woodrow, who took the helm as CDO in 2020, expressed appreciation to donors who persevered in support throughout a year reminiscent of Charles DIckens’ opening lines in A Tale of Two Cities — “the best of times and the worst of times.” Despite significant challenges faced by students, SCCC employees, and the Foundation, financial and practical help made its way to those who needed it most, and the college continues to flourish.
