For SCCC students who need internet access, wi-fi is available outside most campus buildings. While campus itself is closed to the public, it is permissible to park and work from a vehicle.

Maintenance continues to work to keep campus safe
Seward County Community College may have closed its campuses to students and the public, but that does not mean the buildings are empty. Some faculty, staff and administration continue to use the facilities for essential tasks that cannot be completed at home. Additionally, some students who are unable to travel home due to COVID-19 restrictions are still living the dorms. As a result, the maintenance crew continues to step up its cleaning efforts to keep everyone as safe as possible.
According to Roger Schieb, SCCC director of facilities, maintenance has stepped up its efforts to maintain a safe environment.
“We are cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched areas of the college,” Schieb said. “We are meeting regularly, at least once a week, on new cleaning procedures and the use of new cleaning products.”
At the same time, the staff is continuing the routine preventive maintenance of the facilities, such as changing HVAC filters HVAC, light bulbs and landscape care.
