She is the personification of sunny, and it can be a bit tough to find that ray of brightness since Jerri Lynn retired and left campus. After she graduated from SCCC in 1993, Lyddon earned a bachelor of science in human resources from Friends University, and an M.Ed from Newman University, summa cum laude on both. So never mistake that smile and positive attitude for simplicity: this is one super-smart lady.
In 1999, Jerri Lynn took the job of Saints Bookstore Director, and deserves credit for naming the place. She has been an active member of both NACS and MSACS, the professional organizations for college bookstores. She has served as Kansas Trustee, Secretary, Vice-President, President, and Immediate Past President for Mid-States Association of College Stores — which is no small organization, including four-year universities that are among the top in the nation.
Closer to home, Jerri Lynn has been an active part of her campus community both as an employee and as an adjunct faculty member. The college’s recent successful HLC accreditation visit built on foundations she helped set in place, through all kinds of committee work and extra hours. She was given the NISOD award in 2012 for excellence in education.

Jerri Lynn Lyddon shares a happy moment with her sister, who attended the induction ceremony.
Something really notable about Jerri Lynn is her ability to pay it forward, mentoring younger women. It’s unusual to find a person with so much energy, attention to detail, AND warmhearted generosity but current bookstore employees, including director Laci Furr and marketing coordinator Maddy Sander, and longtime staff member Ruthie Luallen, will tell you that Jerri Lynn helps develop people. She patiently transforms each new employee or student worker into something like a force of nature. But with a smile!
She and her husband, Steve have three grown children and two grandchildren, Elizabeth (9) and Wyatt (7).
