Area high schools attend SCCC’s Career Day

SCCC held its Career Day for area high schools on Wednesday, January 31. Students met with faculty from all five divisions — Allied Health, Industrial Technology, Agriculture, Business & Personal Services, Humanities and Social Sciences and Science, Math, and PE.

Eleven area schools from three states — Oklahoma, Colorado and of course, Kansas — were in attaendance. There were 181 students from Balko, OK; Beaver, OK; Campo, CO; Vilas, CO; Fellowship Baptist School, Liberal; Forgan, OK; Fowler, KS; Guymon, OK; Laverne, OK; Texhoma, OK; and Turpin, OK.

The students toured the SCCC campus and received the opportunity to hear from faculty in journalism, biology, cosmetology, computer information systems and auto body. After the tours and presentations, students finished with lunch and a chance to win prizes.
