Saints Athletes Give Back: Community Engagement at SCCC
Seward County Community College Saints athletes actively participate in community service, engaging with local causes and events. Recently, basketball teams interacted with students at Prairie View Elementary and supported the SCCC Foundation Party Auction. Upcoming involvement includes helping with the Liberal Area Chamber of Commerce annual Duck Race, fostering community spirit.
Complete Your Degree at SCCC with Newman University
SCCC graduates can pursue four-year degrees at low or no cost through a partnership with Newman University, which offers $20,000 scholarships and Pell Grants for eligible students. Degree options include nursing, business, and computer science. A Newman recruiter will be available on campus weekly to assist students with enrollment.
Celebrate Ron Oliver’s 34 Years of Service at SCCC
Seward County Community College will host a public reception for retiring trustee Ron Oliver on Oct. 5 from 3-5 p.m. Oliver has contributed 34 years of service, mainly as board chairman. SCCC President Brad Bennett praised his dedication to the college and the surrounding communities.
